The students who were in extra cariculars were missing the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was into technology right from the beginning. That made me select this course. Our MCA department had a very good set of faculties. They were helpful enough to guide us anytime we need them. From our time only the course reduced to 2 years from 3. We had to appear for 3 semisters and the 4th one was the major project.

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 3600 per year

Fees and Financial Aid :

We had to pay the fee semester wise. And there is not much to say about campus jobs because they were not many. College brought us some companies but they were startups. And others were teaching jobs.

Campus Life :

Life at campus was not a big change from the regular college days. Just a bit nervousness. There were all kind of books available in the library. There were few groups and pages named GMUINS. We were used to get all the information about the college from that page.

Admission :

Admission was done through ojee exam. Cutoff was including the entrance marks plus overall career marking. This entrance was only for MCA and MBA courses and for other courses there was another entrance called CPET.

A Review upon a University at Western Odisha

Placement Experience:

from th 3rd semester, student can get into placements. Wipro, TCS, FG, Tata Power will got visited for campus placement and also the student got into other companies. it can range upto 7 LPA. 50 to 60% students got the placements. My plans for persuing PHD after completed this.

College life is like a rollercoaster

Placement Experience:

After the 2nd semester a student is eligible for the placements and campus placement is also good there are lots of companies come for recruitment but don't expect good salary package you will get average and the companies came for recruitment are not that big companies most of the companies are startup companies there are companies like technobot,invincix the average package was 2.5 lakhs/yr this year and the highest package was 6 lakhs/yr likely 60 to 70% students got placed in the previous year I will join the mnc companies after getting my degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the course will give you a basic idea about how the software or IT industry works that are the basic tools. In the 1st sem you will have computer architecture that will give us idea about the working and integration of hardware components with software attributes. Operating system will tell us the working of the OS with respect to computer and basic algos. Discrete mathematics that will prepare us for yo deal with algos in future and graphs that are much needed to design or know compiler idea. Database Management System will train us to deal with data in a database. Then C programming. Like wise you have DSA in 2nd Sem that is important for job purpose and will make us known about various algorithms. Similarly HTML, CSS, JS important for frontend. Java will be introduced in 2nd sem.The syllabus is very old and is not designed to make you a pro in today's time. You need to simultaneously prepare for the market demand from other places like online or any other source.
