VIT is it truly as good or bad as the rumors say?

Dislikes

  • I did not like that students are not allowed to go on outings in 1st semester even though larents allow us.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum here is very good and not to mention the exceptional teaching of the teachers here. They teach us very well unlike the rumors one has heard about them in school. The teachers here teach us with efforts.

Internships Opportunities :

Vit provides a vast amount of opportunities to students here. For example i as a student of mechatronics and automation am doing a integrated online course on cloud processing with google and geeksforgeeks. Thjs opportunity was provided to me by none other than vit. On completing this course I have a hugh chance to do internship at google.

Placement Experience :

Normally 3rd and 4th year students are eligible for campus placements. But if you posses the skill you can get yourself ppo from 1st or 2nd year itself. Most of the students get placed easily(80-95%). Here the average package is around 600000-700000 p.a. I plan to get a job asap and support my family.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Fee structure is good also the the financial opportunities provided by the college are also well in the benefits of the students. Students here can avail the opportunities provided by the college such as student exachange and cheaper fee structure .

Campus Life :

Most of the things in campus are good like guards and the faculty are friendly and can speak most languages. Sports and other facilities provided are also good. Like most of the equipments are available and the ground is also there for playing games. Most of the books are available in library and if not they can arrange the book for you.

Hostel Facilities :

Almost all the facilities are available but they dont allow electronic devices like kettle and iron rest all is good. Meal is provided by different caterers so quality differs but generally its good. Registration process is simple and it is quite affordable. As for pg and rented rooms there is a society very close to campus where you can rent flats or share rooms.

Admission :

The admission process is smooth and easy to understand. First we have to give the VITEEE entrance exam. After getting a rank in the exam, the counseling process will start. According to range of ranks, you can get a course in certain fees range. The greater your rank, the more possible for you to get better courses in better campuses Then comes the fees payment Once counseling process is over, you will be notified via mail or website about orientation process and other admission process

this is where they lie the most , they claim to have placement records of 97% but in reality its just 10%. because of huge student crowd , placing everyone is one big task. the company that comes here for hiring are mostly startups and some lesser known company . branches like mechanical and EEE have it even more difficult time to get placement.the highest package of over college is of 16 lakhs .
