BCOM(HONS) from MAIMS, Delhi

Dislikes

  • Sports Club could be improved along with placement opportunities as well.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always had an interest in the commerce field so that was my reason for selecting BCOM(HONS). The faculty in MAIMS is good and easy to communicate, their qualifications are usually MBA or MCOM. Exams are usually conducted on time, but there could be a delay in releasing the results afterwards.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are offered by the company such as Outlook and others, and most of the time it is for the role of Sales, so anyone would is not interested in a Sales profile just have to search for other internships on their own, which is always a hassle.

Placement Experience :

The students become eligible for campus placement in the 4th semester. Companies such as Accenture, Wipro, and Genpact visit the college. They hire for roles such as Accountant, and Sales with an average CTC of 3 lahks. The percentage of students getting placement would be around 10-15%

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fee for every year is 1 lakh approx. You will have to pay 5000 more if you want to avail book bank facility of the library, otherwise, the normal 10 issues of books are also there. Financial assistance is also available, which one avail. Placement opportunities from Accenture, Genpact, and Wipro for roles such as Accountant, and Sales with an average CTC of 3 lacs.

Campus Life :

During my academic years, only once an annual fest was held or probably more than too, I am not really aware due to COVID being the reason for the first 2 years of study. The classrooms are well maintained but sports activities are really bad.

Admission :

There is an entrance exam called IPU CET Exam for BCOM(HONS), which is given by 6000 students in an average year, by securing a rank below 1500, one can expect to get admission to top universities such as MAIMS, MSIT, VIPS, JIMS.

Placement Experience:

PGDAV college does not have a formal campus placement but the college provides good career supports through workshops, internships and alumini networks. Many students get their job through their personal efforts or external internships.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum should be student-centered and flexible enough to support the learning needs of all students. It should also meet the current and long-term needs of students. A comprehensive curriculum should focus on all domains of learning, including social-emotional, physical, and cognitive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my particular course that is BCom (hons) it does not provides any choice for the AEC cource in 2nd and 3rd sem, student have to select hindi which is not good at all. Every sem is of approx 4 months, so the frequency of exams is after every 4 months and one has to clear 7 papers in order to pass the sem exam.
