Dislikes

  • Mess food is quite bad and affects my overall review of the college. The indifference of the college towards the mess is frustrating and we always feel helpless.
  • The internet is most of the time not available and there have been few attempts to improve that.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The quality of the faculty is alright. They all are Ph.D. qualified and have done their bachelor's and master's from not-so-reputed colleges. Some teach on blackboard and some through slides. There are two sessional exams(15 marks each) and one ends (50/60 marks) in each semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Getting an internship is quite difficult in our college. Very few students are selected and those selected don't get the most lucrative offers. There's one final year project you will be assigned in the 7th or the 8th semester.

Placement Experience :

The campus placements are improving each year as expected from an IT college. The average package overall this year was 14 lpa. This includes both on-campus and off-campus placements so don't be fooled by the college website. This is the percentage of students placed dropped to 80.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The academic fee for each semester is 115000 and the hostel and mess fees are 123000 for one year ( Different in odd and even semesters). The college does not provide any scholarships but we can avail of state and central scholarships.

Campus Life :

Life on campus is bad, to say the least. There are two annual fests- abhivayakti(Feb) and tantra fest(Oct)and one sports meet(Jan). There's one library on the campus that has all the books required for the courses but don't expect anything more than that. The classrooms are air conditioned and the academic building's infrastructure in general is good. The sports facilities provided are a joke. There is no properly maintained ground for any sports. So please expect nothing in this regard. There are clubs running in our college but most of them are dormant. There's one college server run by the students.

Admission :

The admission takes place through Josaa and Csab counseling. The last year's cutoff for ECE in Csab was 47k. There's a reservation for reserved categories but there's no female quota. After the selection of seats through josaa or csab, offline reporting is mandatory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Structure at SLRTCE is well structured and covering core electronics and computer science concepts, but it could include more industry oriented skills and emerging technology. It provides good foundation for real world applications and higher studies exams held twice per semester and updates to the curriculum and interactive teaching methods would further improve it's relevance and effectiveness.

Campus placement are good but you should be skilled in your domain. Opportunity are provided to everyone. If not placed off campus is also good to go. But extra effort you have to put in there to get placed.
