My college life

Remarks :

The college management is average.the facilities were very less.

Entrance Preview :

I took AEEE,IITJEE,AIEEE and many other exams.i chose this college because it was one of best college I got admission and I got the course I was wishing to do.i don't remember the exact score but I got around 9000 rank.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was struggling with the course structure a little but they have changed the course.the evaluation pattern was not good when I joined.they gave 50 percentage waitage to internal exams.focus on research was less compared to other colleges and other branches of amrita

Internships Opportunities :

No,the college didn't provide any internships.we just went for two industrial visits, even those were not interesting.

Placement Experience :

Placements and job offers are not so good compared to the other branches of amrita engineering colleges.only some students got placed in the core companies like Bosch while most of them got in it companies.most of them were not placed last year.the placement will be good in coimbature branch

College Events :

There were two main events celebrated in the odd semesters and two main events in the even semesters.some small events were also celebrated for the festivals like Diwali,onam...etc..there were some technical events like monthly once but they were not big

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is expensive.my total btech was nearly 10lakhs.the fees was increased every year.the fee is very high in such colleges and the facilities also were less.we also have to pay the whole year fees at starting of the year.there is no termwise fee

Campus Life :

The no of boys was high in almost all departments.there were no hostel parties.we would go out of campus for parties.i was not interested in sports but the ground was too small and sports competitions were also less.there were some extracurricular activities only sometimes

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilities and mess food was worst.there was no wifi in the hostel.we have to go to library each and everytime we have to use internet.the food quality was also very bad, only veg and outside food is also not allowed.i was not able to eat the mess food.four person per room

Alumni/Alumna :

I was not too interactive with seniors.i would only talk to some seniors when I need some information or I have some doubts

Exam Structure :

I would say the exams were very frequent.we had two periodical exams and three quizes and an final exam.the waitage for internal exams was relatively high.the percentage distribution was: Periodical 1-15% Periodical 2-20% Quiz 1,2,3-5%each End semester-50%

Admission :

After I got the result,I got an letter for counselling and I attended the counselling with my father.firstly they gave a introduction about the college and courses offered.then the students were called one by one to choose the college branch and the course.i paid some amount in advance and submitted my certificates

Faculty :

All the faculties are kind and free to discuss and clear doubts.some faculties just hurry up o complete the portions when we have no time due to holidays.most of them have good subject knowledge but some are not good at teaching.the decisions made were not so good in many matters

Course Curriculum Overview:

The cybersecurity curriculum in Dsu is designed to provide both theoretical foundations and practical experience in key areas such has security, linus and other related topics . With labs and workshops we get hands on experience on real world problems which help us during placement and internship . The faculty and the curriculum are up to date and help us learn the tools which are currently needed. Cybersecurity isn't just about IT it's also related to law(cybercrime laws),business(risk management) so introducing courses related to them can help students In cybersecurity certification is important so helping students to prepare for certification such has cissp, CompTIA and others can help students a lot Coming to the exams it's not that stressful we will have a month or two to prepare and me personally think 1 week is enough to clear it

Placement Experience:

The placements at presidency university offers is average, the placements percentage is high but the packages are low, the highest was around 13L per Annum and average of around 3L per annum. Students are eligible for placements in third year, while having many opportunities for internships during the period of 4 years. There are various companies that visit our college for placements such as shell, tech Mahindra, dell, capgemini, and many more companies. My plan after degree is get a high paying job either through placements or self searched interviews

Placement Experience:

Placement of this college is decent. If students give thier maximum they will get it and the good part is, the college pushes us for placements and introduces many more things for good placements like placement programs. If they failed to give us campus placement, it is quite tough to get off campus placemnt because of the competiton.
