Amrita school of engineering Amritapuri campus review

  • Mess food - only dinner time food is not good
  • Climate during February to June too hot.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In the counselling process, I got an Amritapuri campus EEE- Electrical and Electronics Engineering course, with a scholarship of 100000. Students: faculty ratio is 1:10. Faculty in Amrita Vishwa vidyapeetham are very well qualified and their way of teaching I would say best. Before COVID there use to be 2 mid sem exams and 1 end-semester exam. After COVID there is 1 mid sem and 1 end sem exam. And the difficulty depends on person to person. In my case it is moderate.

Fees and Financial Aid :

By Ieee exam candidates can get a scholarship. Basically, there are 4 slabs, 1st slab is 100000, 2nd slab is 125000, 3rd slab is 150000, 4th slab is 200000. This is for (amrita puri campus). It differs from campus to campus. Candidates can apply for an education loan which is available on the college website itself and even financial assistance also.

Campus Life :

Every year in May there will be a National level Multifest. In the library, there are so many books. Classrooms are fine but in summer it will be hot. Disclaimer no ac classrooms on the Amritapuri campus. There is one club called Amfoss which is the best one, and bios, cyber security club, robotics club and etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The faculties rooms are good. They are allotted separate cabins and the seniormost will get a room-like cabin. About food, I would say it's hard to live for mainly North Indians and for Telugu people. You know Kerela food is healthy but no salt and kerela curries are different and hard to eat. there will be two types of rice, one is kerela rice and normal rice. The hostel registration process is simple. after payment candidates will be asked for the hostel and payment should be made. There are so many pg hostels with various facilities.

Admission :

Eligible criteria for taking admission to this college - He or She must get 65% in +1 and +2 You can get admission to this college by two was i) By Jee mains and ii) Aeee - separate exam conducted by University itself. You can get details of the course and important dates on the college's official website. https://www.amrita.edu/ By Aeee exam for Home state candidates - 60% reserved seats and other states - 40% reserved seats.

Students are eligible for placement from semester 6. Many of the largest companies such as Cisco, IBM, Wipro etc come for placements. The largest package was 40 LPA from IT department and average package is 6 LPA. Last year's batch had placement percentage of 90%. My future plans are to try my best for placements, no plans for suture studies as of now.

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students. The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

Placement Experience:

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum. Usually, 10-15 students get placed in the first session, and the rest will be considered in the other upcoming sessions. I'm planning to do ethical hacking course after the degree
