- Not so developed campus as it's under development stage with a small part of whole 100 acres land developed as of now.
- Location of the college as it is a located a bit outside the city.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum at IIIT Nagpur is quite advanced in comparison with NITs. IIIT Nagpur provides an opportunity to choose major and minor courses of your choice. In my college Faculties here are amazing with great teaching experience and an amazing way of teaching. There's a healthy faculty-student ratio is 1:15. There are two sessional exams of 15 marks each and one end sem of 50 marks in a semester and exams here aren't that difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities :
College TNP cell of IIIT Nagpur works hard to fetch internships for final year students for major roles in electronics core and software-related big giants including Amazon, Intel, Qualcomm, Grow, Alphagrep, etc.
Placement Experience :
Coming to placements at IIIT Nagpur, I consider them decent with an average package of 11-12 lacs and the highest package of around 40 lacs in 2022. As far as I know, the highest package of the 2023 batch would go as high as 86 lacs lpa. Multiple companies got students onboard through campus placement. Some of the major companies which came on campus are Amazon, Goldman Sacs, Alphagrep, Grow, TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. The placement percentage at IIIT Nagpur is somewhere around 95-100 percent. Even I'm looking for a good placement with an option for MBA in my mind.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The course is quite affordable in my opinion. Overall fees for 4 years including the hostel fees come out to be around 14 lacs. Almost 2.5 lacs per year is the academic fee with tuition fees of around 1.8 lacs included in it whereas the hostel fees are almost 1.1 lacks per year. Yes, there are scholarship opportunities here that are provided by the respective state govt. and the accounts dept. of the college help the students with all the papers works and coordinate with the dept. of scholarships from various states. Placements are also quite good with an average of almost 11-12 LPA.
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is just amazing. I personally love living here. There are two national level fests of IIIT Nagpur - one being the 'Abhivyakti'-the annual cultural fest which is conducted in Feb-March and the other being 'TantraFiesta'- the annual technical fest which is conducted in Oct. College fests are a great opportunity for students to learn great event management skills as well as enjoy their college lives leaving all the academic tensions behind. Yes, IIIT Nagpur has a small library that has all the curriculum-related books along with some novels. All the classrooms are equipped with ACs, a projector, and good furniture. The competitive sports culture is also developing at the campus with each passing day. There are almost 13-14 clubs that cover a vast spectrum of interests. Me being the head of one the most active club -' Orator Club- The Debate n Public speaking club of IIIT Nagpur' enjoy organizing events and club meets. Overall it's a great experience on campus.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel Infrastructure and culture of IIIT Nagpur are appreciable. We have a single 10-storey hostel building which accommodates almost 1300 students. There are options for a two-seater and four-seater rooms at the hostel. U get a study table- chair, a bed and a wardrobe in the room. Mess food comes under not so bad category and is way better than any other college. Hostels are affordable with a smooth registration process.
Admission :
I gave JEE-Mains exam to get admission to this college. I was allotted this college by jossa- CSAB counseling. I am a general category student and the cutoff for the general category in 2021 was 27k for CSE and 43k for ECE in the last round of CSAB. The admission process was smooth though.
