- Campus location is not at all good as it is around 30kms outside city
- Hectic schedule of IIIT is the thing i hate the most as this college as first three semesters as cram semesters in which we have finish 6months syllabus in 3months
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I wanted to be a part of a govt college with branches related to Information technology. The student ratio in this batch of my college was around 575 boys and 25-30 girls. The faculty is mostly good and friendly, especially since most of the HoDs are teaching us and the assistant professor are also good all of them have done PhD in their specialized fields. This year there are 2 sessionals per semester and one end-semester examination including lab evaluation in end semester examination.
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies came to our college this year Amazon gave internships to around 12 students this year and our college has a policy that every student has to do at least 6months to 12 months of internships
Placement Experience :
The student should have at least been in 5 semesters to be eligible for campus placements. Alpha grep, Amazon, Groww and tata consultancy services. The highest package was from Goldman Sachs London i.e. (8600000rs) grabbed by an Ece student and the average package stood at 13lakhs per annum. Around 95% of students got placed in college. My plans after getting the degree would be to get placed in one of the top product-based Information technology companies.
Fees and Financial Aid :
As I belong to the general-ews quota from Uttar Pradesh not lying in the income bracket of scholarship and as I am in my first year so I did not get any job but this college provides major assistance to students from Maharashtra and madhya pradesh as the respective states provide assistance to their state students
Campus Life :
There is an annual cultural fest named "abhi yakti" in February from the 23rd to the 25th and also there is an annual technical fest named "tantrafiesta" in October from the 20th to the 23rd. All sought books are available in the library however the library is still small compared to other institutes. All classrooms are completely air-conditioned. The sports facility are completely messed up in this institute but only one badminton court and no field to play cricket because the new campus institute is a growing sports facility. there are many singing and dancing clubs known as a crescendo.
Hostel Facilities :
As the institute is located in a remote area that is why I took a hostel double-seater room. Institute provides two sought of hostels- double and four-seater rooms double seater is good but small for two people and the washroom is 4 on each floor of the building they were completely clean and nice. Mess food is okayish and the same as all over government colleges in India. The hostel registration process is smooth but as double seater rooms are limited they are served on a first come first serve basis however hostels are quite expensive in this college i.e 123000rs for the double seater and 108000rs for four-seater.
Admission :
The admission process was wholely managed by josaa and csab authorities all sought of documents were required for the admission process as I entered the college through jee mains exam in ece branch through ews quota the cutoff for iiit Nagpur via jee mains through ews quota was around 55700crl
