Course Curriculum Overview :
Because ECE is a mix of software and hardware. An ECE engineer is eligible for both kinds of fields as he learns about both domains. So the opportunities for an ECE engineer are much higher. Moreover through ECE one can attempt ISRO, DRDO, and IES exams whereas through CSE one cannot. Faculty : Student ratio is good. Students can directly contact and meet faculties for their doubts. Faculties are quite approchable and are available to discuss ideas and doubts with students. Faculties are well qualified from decent institutes. All are PHD scholars. Their teaching method is quite interesting. They try to demonstrate every topic well and relate it with daily life. Exams are held within every 1.5 months. There are 2 sessionals and 1 end sem examination. Their difficulty is a bit higher compared to other institutions. As it aims to prepare the student to handle pressure in tough times. Passing them requires a good amount of knowledge of the subject. It won't be easy for sure.
Internships Opportunities :
There are various companies that offer internships such as Groww, Move works, Intel, etc they offer up to 75000 stipends. The role is for SDE, web developer, etc. Projects could include development tasks. A student may have to work on data science, Machine learning, AI, AR-VR, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Fees is Rs 208000 for academics per year and approx Rs 55000 for hostel+mess per year. There are various types of scholarships that are available for students. One can also go for an education loan. The institute makes it so easy and hassle-free to get this loan sanctioned. It has contacts with top banks. There are a lot of opportunities for campus placements and internships. The average package this year was almost Rs 12lacs. And the highest was Rs 40 lacs. Companies start visiting the campus for 3rd-year students for internships offering up to Rs70000+ stipend.
Campus Life :
There are majorly 2 fests held in the institute. Abhivyakti (Cultural Fest) is held in the month of February. Tantrafiesta ( Tech Fest) is held in the month of October. The availability of books and journals in the library is good. Library also provides e-library credentials to all the students so that they can access the books online too. The classrooms are well furnished. Wooden benches are comfortable. Every classroom has 3-4 ACs and a projector. There are various sports that are held such as cricket, basketball, badminton, table tennis, football, carrom, chess, etc. There is Gym too.
Admission :
One has to appear in JEE MAIN exam held every year. Only top 1.5 percent candidates can make up to this college. Then one has to apply for JoSaa counseling which is an all-India counseling. After JoSaa candidates can also apply for CSAB counseling. Application form/fees/ dates could be found on JoSaa website. In IIITs there is no home state quota. But there are category reservations that can also be found on JoSaa. Once the college is alloted the Candidate has to go to the college physically for document verification to make sure that his seat is secured.
