Remarks :
The admission process was very easy. I didn't give any university-specific entrance exam. I took admission based on my JEE rank. I visited the college campus, they gave me the admission form, I selected the branch and paid the tuition fee, and then I was in.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I didn't want to take computer science, and I've always loved electronics. The faculties are very helpful and young, I'd say that there are 1 faculty for 5 students approximately, most of them are Ph.D. scholars, while some are still pursuing a Ph.D., their teaching method is old-fashioned I shall say. In the first year, the exams were rushed, and we didn't get any time to study well, but this 3rd semester onwards they are going at a good pace. The questions are harder compared to other private universities, but this must help in the future.
Internships Opportunities :
Some of the companies are Hitachi, Tata group, Larsen and Toubro, global logic, mind tree, Accenture, etc., they mostly offer jobs in it field, core companies are very scarce, and even if they come, they only Hire 2-3 students maximum.
Placement Experience :
Many companies visit the campus, and the placements are given from the 7th semester but a few companies also give opportunities to 6th-semester students. There are companies like Hitachi global, Larsen and Toubro, Accenture, global logic, MindTree, etc. that have made around 900 offers. The highest package offered is around 36 LPA, coding-related related jobs. The average package is around 550000. Around 70% of students are placed till now. I have plans of working in IT jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fee structure is like 185000 for Normal students, and 195000 for the marine department. The mess fee for the 2 bed AC attached bathroom is 125000 In which the mess fee is included. There is a scholarship for the top 5 ojee rank holders in each department, they only fee 60000 tuition fee per annum. There is also state and national scholarship for sc St. There is no financial assistance provided by the College, and job opportunities on campus for students.
Campus Life :
There is only 1 annual fest that is held in summer (may or June) called Celegance. There is no café or any other vendor on campus. The seniors are friendly. tech fest is conducted by the electrical department in December or January. All kinds of books are available in the central library and access to them is easy. Most classrooms are basic classes with little to no amenities. No sports championship is held in college, there is a cricket team of college students.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is okayish. I pay 125000 a year. I love a 2 bedroom with ac, Wi-Fi and attached bathroom. The canteen fee is included in the hostel fees. The hostel registration is done based on a first come first serve. But I think it is very expensive.
