Remarks :
Overall, Being a UIITian gave me A LIFE OF PURPOSE which I was looking for all my life. I got aim here, so this place is pleasure for me. It gave me my identity and leisure and free time where I did extraordinary projects. I am a game designer part time and small level also. Whatever, I become in the future its because of my esteemed, precious and reputed college.
Entrance Preview :
2013 Jee Main - 90/360 BITSAT - 150/360 VIT - 140/200 IPU - 9000 Rank UIIT - 135/200 I wished to do CSE BTeh and become a programmer. Thus, I choose CSE. As far as, college is concerned I chose UIIT as I have been living with my family all my life. I wished that I should work outside my comfort zone. This comfort zone is my family. So, I moved out and took UIIT as my life partner.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I believe the course curriculum has got its self reputation. We/I got large amount of leisure time to think for the future and what to do do after engineering. I planned to give GATE and get IIT for further studies. I got 40/100 and being a GEN guy, I haven't got any premier college though. But I am the topper in my college though. So, I think curriculum is good and the standard of studies is competitive. Thats all for curriculum.
Internships Opportunities :
No for now there is no internship from our college side. I think thats a good thing as we student take the responsibility ourselves to do so. Thus we face the world and asses ourselves for the future. So, we become more talented in our field.
Placement Experience :
I would say great as I myself have got placed in two renowned companies. Overall 90% students get placed every year from our esteemed college. Highest placements from our college in Impetus 2009-2013 batch with a package of 8 Lacks per annum. Mine is 3.5 Lacks per annum though. But I think this is sufficient for me for start.
College Events :
Our college celebrates Fest like any other college. Therin we habe cultural performances, Naati , Latest dance forms, etc. Moreover, we have Technical fest where coding contests are organised and guys play games as well. Proper prize distribution is done for every event. Overall one can see not just ours but different college people participating in our fests. So, its overall fun I would say.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Its 30000 Tution fee for us and 1 year back it is revised to 45000 Tution fee per semester. Additional charges are seperate. Yearly around 100000 rupees can be taken for revised ones. Ours is 80000 rupees yearly. Its not expensive as ours is government college so not a big problem.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Yes, 4 in every class are given scholarship. Two on the basis of Economically Weaker Sections and 2 meritorious girl child. These recieve full tution fee wavier. Half tution fee wavier for Single girl child and for faculty children as well.
Campus Life :
In order to make students compatible with the tech workshops are conducted every semester. International Conference RICST was conducted a year back and is again under holding in our department. This is due to hard work of the organisers and the students as well.
Hostel Facilities :
For now there no hostel and mess facilities for undergraduate course students. But administration is looking forward to make hostels for girls first and then for boys. Construction work for girls hostel is in process and will take around 1 year to complete.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, without our seniors it would have been difficult to clear semester exams. They were just like friends and now as well. They are placed in renowned companies now and looking forward to do great. They were helpful and even now they clear so many of our doubts of engineering. They are friends not our seniors. They have proved this to us, and we did it with our juniors as well.
Exam Structure :
6 Subjects and 4 Practical in approximately every semester. Latest subjects and latest practical approach for evaluation. The syllabus is reised every year for better compatibility with the latest tech in the market. Also we have subjects of coding also which helps us to brush up our coding skills in our area of expertise.
Admission :
Literally speaking, I didn't even know the entrance exam UIIT sorts. But I came to know about it from my father. It was a newspaper ad for date extension of the UIIT form. But I chose to fill it up online. There was no online procedure so I planned to drop it. I was broke as I already lost chance to be in Nits and IIts a well. But my father contacted his friends in Baddi and one of his friends filled it up. I had to give the exam now. I didn't prepare much but faced the exam. It was pretty easy. This was my best performed entrance exam. I was called and faced the interview. As I was already a meritorious guy so I got admission easily.
Faculty :
The faculty in every college is of not much great level. In our college some of them are very great in their field but 50 % members take it for granted. Although they have the knowledge but we ourself have to prepare for the exams. I think they believe in us and we therefore prepare ourselves for the upcoming exams. I would rate them 6/10 overall.
