Remarks :
I applied for Banki Govt Autonomous College apart from Ravenshaw but selected the latter in the end. The admission process was based on 12th marks. The process was pretty smooth in the hall of the department and the faculties were kind enough to resolve all the queries.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course. I had good aptitude as far as chemistry was concerned in class 12th. The student-teacher ratio was fairly good, if not 1:1 for boys and girls, but at least 1.25: 0.75 must have been the case, as I do not remember exactly. The faculty were veterans, with the majority having completed their higher education at the country's top institutions such as IITs and NITs. Term examinations were fairly regular, and marking was strict.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fee structure was good and affordable for most sections of society. The hike in fee was there at certain intervals, but it was not way too high. There might be some scholarship or assistance, but I was not aware of it. As far as employment was concerned, then there was hardly any opportunity for our batch.
Campus Life :
Fests were conducted for freshers as well as seniors as a farewell. All kinds of books of various genres were available in the library, and the process of accessing them was pretty simple. The two halls were air-conditioned. Extra-curricular activities were regular.
Interview Experience :
There was no group discussion, interview, or specific test for entering into the stream. The major criteria was 12th marks for all the affiliated boards of the country. There were different lists for selection as per marks secured. Once the quota of 64 students was filled, the process stopped and many students also remained on the waiting list.
