Remarks :

For those who are unable to enter IITs or NITs, IIIT Kottayam is a very good option. I say this because I was unable to meet the IIT cutoff eligibility criteria and preferred the IIIT Kottayam seat over the other colleges, and after entering the college, I realized that the university teaching staff is indeed very good and the syllabus of the CSE programme is also excellent. Many aspiring engineers may find IIIT Kottayam to be an excellent choice.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college's curriculum for cyber security programmes was recently updated, as technology has changed dramatically, and new techniques for a security breach and new kinds of cybercrime are emerging. So, in order to keep us informed, the college updates its curriculum on a regular basis. The faculty at the university is also excellent, with PhDs and extensive research experience. The faculty is in charge of introducing us to the most recent technological advances, as well as how cybercrime is developing and what sorts of precautionary measures and methods can be used to prevent it. The college faculty is extremely cooperative, and they are highly trained professionals.

Internships Opportunities :

The college internship programme is the backbone of the curriculum because internships allow us to apply our skills and knowledge in the corporate world. Additionally, internships are a great way to learn about current technological changes. The average internship stipend was around 45000.

Placement Experience :

The college has made a name for itself in the field of placement, and it can definitely compete with elite universities in terms of placement. The college has a track record of 100% placing. The placement committee is made up of professionals, and the representatives of the placement committee understand our interests and domain well enough to invite companies accordingly. They also assist us in the placement rounds in order for us to be placed. The most expensive package was around 31 LPA, and the most affordable package was around 12 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid :

At the college, merit-based scholarships are also available. Scholarships are available at the college for SC/ST/PD students. Also, there is the possibility of obtaining a student loan. The admissions staff will guide and assist you if you are taking out such an education loan. Visit the university's official website or come to campus to learn more about the scholarship programme.

Campus Life :

College life is enjoyable. The college environment is conducive to learning. DHRUVA is the college's annual festival, which we eagerly await. Many best-selling authors are housed in the college library, and many classic books are also accessible. The college library also has a large collection of international journals that we can use for our assignments. Some of the campus's amenities include a GYM, Auditorium, Open Air Auditorium, ATM, Football, Cricket, and a pitch. College seniors are extremely friendly and cooperative.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel has excellent facilities. The wardens and staff are both professional and helpful. Five times per week, the hostel rooms are cleaned. The hostel's bathrooms have been thoroughly cleaned. The hotel has power and water available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is also high-speed internet access on the hostel campus. The hostel has excellent 24-hour security. The hostel provides all types of services and infrastructure for our convenience.

A review about life in CET, as an Mtech structural engineering student

Placement Experience:

In first semester so far no placement for structural engineering had came. Basically for Mtech placement is less compared to Btech. And especially for civil Engineering streams it's too less. College is saying many companies will visit in coming days. In Btech in other streams like CS,EEE most of them are placed when it comes to civil it's less to get placed in core companies. In Mtech only a few get placed in core companies. My aim is to get placed in any company. Preference is a core company but it's ok if get any other companies also

The institution provides with great opportunities to its students. There are internship for its students to grow. They also provide with jobs and placements. Many firms come and recruit the students. Many students take part in the placement programme.

Entrance Preview:

Through GATE 2016, Got 567 score. I opted it because it is only the first institute in Asia which is totally focussed towards producing Scientists & Researchers.

Admission:

After GATE exam, you have to apply the form of IIST, then they'll shortlist for the interview/written test on the basis of scorecard & number of Application. After qualifying the interview, they'll give the admission to different departments based on priority set by you at the time of Application.
