Remarks :
I gave the entrance test of Manipal called MET, and the test was 800 marks and the admission process was very smooth and seamless. The form for the MET can be found on Manipal's official website along with the details of the test.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose CSE as it has the most opportunity and is also a field of my interest. The faculty-student ratio here is pretty good at 1:15 as per UGC guidelines. The faculty is pretty good in terms of qualifications and the number of projects they are working on. Term exams were taken pretty quickly in the first year due to Covid but now it's at a normal pace with enough time to prepare for exams. Exams are a little bit tough to score but manageable if you study regularly.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for campus placements after 3rd year. Companies like Dell, and Byju offer placement opportunities on the campus. The highest package ever offered is 42lpa to a student but it was off-campus placement. The average package is 6LPA. Most of the students get placed in the SCIT department of the college. I plan to further pursue my studies after getting a degree by going for MS.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The cost to study at Manipal is pretty high but the fees go on decreasing per year as u move forward ie second-year fees of yours will be less than your 1st-year fees. But the fees increase for the new batches every year. Scholarships are provided to very few students and since it has been online for two years or so they have even canceled the scholarship for branch topper. Students get scholarships on basis of their sports performance and the level they have reached and even on academic scoring in some cases.
Campus Life :
MUJ has a rich campus life with various small events by clubs continuously going on. The annual fest of MUJ is Oneiros which has not been conducted for 3 years now and online tech fests have been organized due to covid but no offline fests as of now. The Library of MUJ has every book related to your field of study available but not so much for Competitive programming or Literature. Classrooms have great amenities with centralized cooling and whiteboards and well-maintained tables and chairs. The campus of MUJ is very beautiful with lots of flowers and greenery. There are clubs for almost everything in MUJ be it tech, cultural, or even e-sports.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel of MUJ is maintained by a private organization and has great rooms with attached washrooms. Rooms are available in three types; Single premium, Single room, and double room. The mess provides good quality of food and better taste than many other hostels you will find in various colleges. The hostel is one of the costliest hostel facilities among all colleges in India but the facilities are pretty good. The hostel even has various food outlets like Dominos, Belgian Waffle, etc.
