An eco-friendly college with average academics.

Remarks :

The admission is based on the merit of the students. 50 percentage of the seats are filled directly by the CEE and is based on the KEAM rank of the students. 50 percentage seats are filled by the management of the college. This is also done on the basis of the merit of the students in the higher secondary examination. Application for admission can be submitted directly from the college website. There are no charges for the application form. No reservation benefits are provided by the college except the one provided by the government and are applicable only for merit quota fees. All students should pass the KEAM entrance examination conducted by the CEE to be eligible for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Electronics and communication is a good branch with a lot of opportunities. The syllabus is very much useful and is career oriented. I choose this branch as it provides ample career opportunities. The curriculum is really good but I would prefer to add some practical knowledge to it. The faculties are extremely good with some being exceptionally talented. All are very helpful and understanding. The lab managers are also really helpful and they motivate us to do practicals on our own. All the faculties have their postgraduate and some have PhD. The series exam is conducted regularly every two months and the question paper is moderate. The internal exams Average pass percentage of about 80 % and the end semester exams have a pass percentage of about 70%.

Internships Opportunities :

College provides its students fairly good number of internship opportunities. More than 50% of students get a chance for internship in top companies such as Wipro Infosys. Internship opportunities are provided from the students from the 4th semester itself . A lot of students benefit from this. Many companies provide permanent jobs to the Interns after completing their internships. In terms of internship opportunities the college is somewhat average.

Placement Experience :

The college offers good placement opportunities. A number of reputed companies including Wipro TCS Infosys Cognizant etc conduct placement activities from the seventh semester itself. On average, more than 50 companies visit the campus for placement activities and offer an average salary package of 3 LPA. More than 40 percentage students get placement on campus interviews. But Computer science and Engineering plant outperform this with more than 50% of students getting placement. Special placement training classes will be provided to the students making students study for the interviews. So overall the college provides enough placement opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fees of the college are the same as all other private Engineering colleges in Kerala. Management quota fees are a bit higher but a lot of scholarships are provided by the management. There is a tuition fee waiver scheme in which the students can study at a fee of just 8400 per year if the student secures 95 percentage or above in higher secondary examination or less than 10000 ranks in KEAM. Likewise different schemes are there for students up to 75%e or above. The cost of study without an available scholarship is about 5 lacs. There is no fees Hike unless approved by the University. The college provides a lot of campus placements and more than 40% students get placement opportunities. So the college is average in this regard.

Campus Life :

The college has a shooting and eco friendly atmosphere which is one of the sticking features of the college. The college has well connectivity with a nearby town. A lot of technical events are conducted by different clubs in the college every month. The college provides very less extracurricular activities which need to be improved. The college conducts its annual techfest every year. It is an experience and helps to improve our idea of knowledge and level. The fests are mainly during the even semester that is from January to March. A lot of books and journals are available in the library which can be accessed online also. Classrooms are well equipped and are smart class enabled. The classrooms and labs are very well maintained and are very hygienic. IEEE society in the college is very active and is selected as the best student chapter. There are a lot of other clubs run by the students in the college like nature club Jesus Youth Startupbootcamp etc.

The largest package was 40 LPA from IT department and average package is 6 LPA. Last year's batch had placement percentage of 90%. My future plans are to try my best for placements, no plans for suture studies as of now.

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students. The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum. Usually, 10-15 students get placed in the first session, and the rest will be considered in the other upcoming sessions. I'm planning to do ethical hacking course after the degree
