Remarks :
Reason of choosing this college was I heard alot about this college and elder brother also studied from SRM University. SRM University is known for good placements and campus located in dehi ncr is good choice. On the other hand, SRM NCR campus area is not even par and for first six month is difficult as you're restricted from most of places in the campus. I applied for SRM JEE paper in March month and gave online test. I cleared the online test with a decent SRM JEE Rank and enrolled for admission by August month. My tution teacher referred to apply for this college as SRM University is a reputated private university in india.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose B.Tech in Computer Science as compared to other courses in B.Tech higher incomes and more opportunities are there and to get broad , in dept IT Knowledge. Most of students in my campus opted for computer science. Around 720+ CSE and IT students were in my batch. Student ratio of boy girl 7 :1 that means for every 7th boy there was a girl in every class. Qualification of the faculty staff for experienced professors were nothing less than PhDs and for some of freshers were MTECH , MSc in respective fields. Teaching method including both white board as well as smart board whenever required. Term exams happens every six month time phase and if you give full attention while making notes about whatever taught in class as well as before term exams going through previous year question paper then it will easy to pass exam with good grades.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I did n't opted for any internship. Hardly there were any student from our campus who got internship from campus only. Microsoft offers internship based on rounds including online test and couple of rounds and min criteria to apply for microsoft internship was 7 cgpa or above. Roles offered by companies like Zoom RX and Microsoft were SDE1 ( PPO) Pre placement offer with stipend around 30k -35 k , Zoom RX Business Associate and stipend was not revealed. Project including building a website , working on there tools and Data Science Projects and duration of internship is 12 months.
Placement Experience :
Placements of our college is decent. From 7 semester , students become eligible for campus placements. We had to travel to SRM (KTR) for placements in 7th semester as most of the companies visits to KTR Campus. So competition becomes even more and NCR students get lesser opportunities than KTR students as students have to come back for CT test in 7th semester. But companies visits throughout the year. NCR students grabbed offers in companies like TCS , Infosys , BYJUS, Cognizant , Wipro , Optum and Deloitte. Highest package of NCR campus was 18 Lakhs in Amazon and Average package was 3.6 Lakhs in service based companies.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees structure in SRM University ( NCR) is paid annually every year. SRM fees hike alternatively and fees hike for around 10%. Scholarship that this college offers is Rank holders having SRMJEE rank under 1000 and for state or city toppers in CBSE there are separate scholarship. SRM University also provides financial assistance , if you are among top 3 in your branch, you can avail for financial assistance upto 50% in tution fees. I got a job in cognizant with stipend 27000/ month.
Campus Life :
Campus life at SRM University is not bad and every year annual fest, sports fest and tech fest are conducted in the college. Cultural fest Rubaroo is conducted in October month and various events are organized by different societies. Tech fest happens in February month including robo fights and battles. Library in SRM Ncr is decent not that big but you will be able to find subject books and around 40-50 students can study in one go. SRM provides various opportunities including cricket, table tennis, volley ball, basketball, gym and football. There are individual courts for basketball and volley ball and cricket ground where students can practice before sports events. Gym was recently introduced in our campus. IVS is one society run by seniors for students run by SRM senior students.
Hostel Facilities :
SRM University provide hostel facilities and there are 4 blocks and a separate F block for freshers. Hostel include both AC and Non AC Facilities with attached bathroom. Rooms in hostel include bunk bed , chairs and tables for study purpose and 3-4 members in single room depending on the room size. No separate mess charges are there and meal quality is average. Somedays will be there where meals will be upto the mark and somedays will be like you don't wanna eat that food depending on the menu. Both chicken and eggs are served twice in a week. Students have to register online to avail for hostel facility and mess charges is somewhat overpriced. You can go for PG nearby but for starting staying in hostel is not a bad option.
Admission :
No , there no as such group discussion , interview rounds for the admission. But i did gave an online test after completing my 12th exams. SRM conducts its own exam SRMJEE. I applied for the exam online and this exam includes Physics , Chemistry , Math Multiple choice questions and each sections consists of 30 questions , 15 questions of general ability. There were no negative marking. On the basis of test results and SRMJEE Rank we can apply for SRM University. We can get more details on there website and counselling process starts from June end. SRM also offers direct admission for candidate falling under the top 100 in JEE main or First rank holder in CBSE. I did solved previous year SRMJEE papers as well as worked hard on basics.
