Remarks :
Registration started on an online portal of MP, where we have to apply for colleges and courses, based on the percentages, college communicated with the details and further counseling. Reaching the college I have got the admissions will be directly on the basis of marks and the shortlisted candidates have to pay the first installment on the spot, we have to carry the required documents making 2 sets of each and then the process was pretty easy and the staff was well equipped with the knowledge
Course Curriculum Overview :
I've applied for this course because I've to do graduation in commerce and by further counseling i decided to go for BCom Hons, before this I've taken a year drop to prepare for CLAT but haven't joined the NLU, so this was my shot The student-faculty ratio is a bit poor here around 20 :1 Teacher's reviews are taken once in a year and are really helpful if the teacher is not up to the mark, the quality of teaching varies, there was a big difference between best and worst teachers, the pedagogy is average Exams were easy to pass as compared to schools, that's what i felt
Internships Opportunities :
College provides enough internship opportunities Students are selected on the basis of their performance in internal exams Pantaloon, Big Bazaar, are the few big names, there are also some local companies that hire students for a month internship Roles were of maintaining the accounts and assisting the customers in purchasing, maintaining the store, and how the people communicate, how to approach to customers and convey details to the boss as seen in Big bazaar and pantaloons
Placement Experience :
In UG there are no placements at all But in PG , the MBA course , few companies visit and few students were placed witb avg salary of 4 to 5 lacs/year I dont have much info on the placements in PG but as of UG courses there were no placements
Fees and Financial Aid :
Fees are fixed, and it is communicated before the joining of the course My fees for the 3-year course was around 54000, 16000 per year There was an option for a scholarship, available to only reserved category students, no scholarship on the basis of 12th marks, that was not up to the mark Campus placements for graduation was not good at all, no companies visit to recruit though there were some options for internships
Campus Life :
The life at the campus was okayish, there was an annual fest known as Reflections conducted every year The library was pretty average with limited books and the librarian was also not up to the mark Classrooms are equipped with fans, a computer, and a projector The chairs were pretty comfortable though In the name of sports, there was just a basketball court nothing else which was also not of full size, just a mini court There were few pages run on Insta by students
