Entrance Preview :

I opted for this college as a few of my known people were either a pass-out from there or they were studying there. They all had good reviews about the college and hence, it sounded a good idea to choose that.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum at that point was fine. But I see that the similar syllabus is being carried along even now, which, I think is not the way to go. Students should be taught more of the latest technologies and not just the basic theoretical part. Also, even though there are many apt laboratory programs conducted, but they should be more industry oriented rather than study-oriented.

Internships Opportunities :

Not very sure on this. May be, after the students pass out of the college, they keep some of them as lecturers and may be that comes in-terms of internship but I honestly haven't heard of any such things.

Placement Experience :

Placements have had been quite nice pre and post recession. Almost all the eligible students get placed. TCS is the mass recruiter in this college. Apart from that many other companies visit e.g. MindTree, BEL Electronics, Infosys, Cognizant Technologies and many other small companies as well. Students are also eligible to attend off-campus placements.

College Events :

College is quite high on this. Various events are organised throughout the year to keep the students excited and energetic. Annual event is known as "Davana". It involves inter-college competitions ranging from Cultural, Literature, Technical, Ethnic, Modern trends, Fashion, Textile, Skit and other events. Monthly events include Sports competitions. College has facilities for almost all the sports. Going by Indian standards, you name it, they have it. Apart from this, there are other events organized by individual departments off and on.

Fees and Financial Aid :

I haven't availed any. But there are good scholarships definitely. One would need to contact the college authorities for further details. Loan is offered by the banks after the required 'Bonafide Certificate' is issued by the college.

Exam Structure :

Exam Structure is very fare. It doesn't crunch your time if you are up-to-date yourself. If you procrastinate, it's your fault. Three internal exams for Theory and Labs during one semester. Then the final Semester exams at the end of it.

Faculty :

A few of the faculties were really knowledgeable and inspirational. But, like any other institution, even this college has their fare share of junior lecturers who unfortunately don't have an experience or knowledge to inspire students to attend their lectures. But I hope the situation has improved over time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The cybersecurity curriculum in Dsu is designed to provide both theoretical foundations and practical experience in key areas such has security, linus and other related topics . With labs and workshops we get hands on experience on real world problems which help us during placement and internship . The faculty and the curriculum are up to date and help us learn the tools which are currently needed. Cybersecurity isn't just about IT it's also related to law(cybercrime laws),business(risk management) so introducing courses related to them can help students In cybersecurity certification is important so helping students to prepare for certification such has cissp, CompTIA and others can help students a lot Coming to the exams it's not that stressful we will have a month or two to prepare and me personally think 1 week is enough to clear it

Placement Experience:

Over 60% of students got placed this year. We have a very supportive place we get a placement of placement opportunities from the final year and the sixth seven semester as well Top companies such as Accenture, TCS amaedus Schneider electric Siemens JSW, Wipro Z scaler. The highest package was given by Z scaler of 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is fivelakhs.

Inside out of Presidency university

Placement Experience:

The placements at presidency university offers is average, the placements percentage is high but the packages are low, the highest was around 13L per Annum and average of around 3L per annum. Students are eligible for placements in third year, while having many opportunities for internships during the period of 4 years. There are various companies that visit our college for placements such as shell, tech Mahindra, dell, capgemini, and many more companies. My plan after degree is get a high paying job either through placements or self searched interviews
