Remarks :
I had to appear for the common entrance test for all the AKTU colleges but I got admission via management based on my marks 10th and 12th and a personal interview. There are no age criteria but a minimum of 60% in 10th and 12th.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course on the recommendation of one of the seniors as it was the second-best trade for an aspiring engineer. The faculty to student ratio is 1:15. The faculty is well qualified and can demonstrate and explain the topics well. The term exams are quite easy and can easily be passed with revisions.
Internships Opportunities :
The most frequent company for the internship is Internshala and the roles are selected by the student as per one's knowledge and will to learn. There are different platforms such as Coursera that provide online training and certifications.
Placement Experience :
The students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. There are many top-notch companies like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, L&T, Cisco that come to the campus for the placements. The average placement package is 3.6 LPA and the highest varies to 28 LPA. Around 90% of students are placed. I shall be working for an IT firm after getting my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fees for the hostel have hiked but the academic fees are the same. Scholarships are provided for financially weak students by the university and from college for toppers. There are several internship opportunities.
Campus Life :
There is one annual fest which is both cultural and technical called 'Ignitia' usually held for 2 days in the month of February. The library is open for all the students and faculty every day till 8 pm and most of the course and reference books are available.
Hostel Facilities :
The rooms and washrooms of the hostel are clan and are provided with enough lighting facilities as required and advertised. There are ac and non-ac rooms as per the budget of the student. The quality of the meal is not so okay. Although they have different food items for different times of the day and that of the week, one ends up getting bored of the same taste. Registration for a hostel is done at the time of fee submission.
Interview Experience :
The admission process was simple. The written test was basic aptitude questions and English comprehension and grammar questions. The PI was simple to just a brief introduction and hobbies. It was mostly to check the confidence level.
