Remarks :
The admission process was smooth and short. Based on my rank in upsee I was given different branches to shortlist, before that I went under a basic aptitude test. There is no minimum set criteria as such, as I have friends who have less percentage in 12th or 10th. The college provides equal opportunity to all regardless of their previous results.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The electronics and communication department of PSIT is NBA accredited (Google NBA accreditation). And it's the best among the north Indian colleges. We had numerous faculty for the same subject to give us a chance to explore more. The teaching method is modern and very enthusiastic. Equal use of virtual and physical methods was used. We had assignments every other week, class test once a month, pre-university once in six months and externals. This whole system was for 1 sem(6 months approximately).
Internships Opportunities :
We are the first batch to experience virtual internship programs because of the lockdown and coronavirus so there were different companies that provided online virtual training for us and the stipend was up to four to five thousand.
Placement Experience :
Placement season starts when you are in the 3rd year last semester different companies that visited the campus are Infosys Wipro Capgemini IBM, PWC, congruex, naggaro, etc. The average part is lies between 3 to 4 lakh per annum and the highest package goes up to 15 or 16 lakh per annum. Almost close to 80 to 90% of students from every branch gets a place in their own domain. After getting this placement I would like to work in this multinational company.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fee Structure was nominal and not too high. According to my, it's worth every penny. I didn't opt for any scholarships. I got various offers from different multinational companies such as Capgemini Wipro Infosys. The highest package I got was from Infosys as a power programmer with 8 LPA CTC.
Campus Life :
Ignitia is the annual 2 days fest, where u can explore your passion in the non academic area. Another fest waves happen in the month of November and focus on sports. There is a central library that contains numerous resources. In PSIT there are many different types of clubs such as drama club, writing club, speaking club, we have toastmaster club and algorithm clubs. It has a various number of sports grounds suggest basketball football badminton table tennis.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are to sharing depending upon availability. The rooms are very clean and mopping and testing are done every week the washrooms are very clean and are cleaned thoroughly every day by sweepers. The mess also provides top quality of food and they don't compromise in quality the food provided here is totally vegetarian.
