Entrance Preview :
I took the EAMCET through which I got a seat it this particular college. I opted for this college because it has great infrastructure and also good academic background which motivated me in joining this particular college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is actually good. Our batch was affiliated to JNTU Kakinada and all syllabus was set by the university itself which we had to follow. I personally feel that it was quite outdated but I was helpless cuz if I had to get my degree I had to study the one that is being prescribed.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes it does provide internships. Our college has tie ups with many MNCs which recruite fresher's and provide internships to them during the final year. After the internships they start working for the same company. The stipend varies from company to company.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are really good. Almost 60-65℅ of the students studying in the final year were placed this year, both on and off campus included. Many companies like TCS, Virtusa, Cognizant, Capgemini, Kony, Polaris, Amazon etc were part of the placement drive.
College Events :
Cultural events were held every 4 years. Its basically a Fest called Aadrita. Student's from around the state gather for this thing. Around 3k people participated in this event in 2012. Technical events are held by IEEE coordinators every year for the IT people and it helps in knowing every individuals capabilities.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is quite feasible. It was not too high nor too low. I would say it was good. It was definitely feasible keeping in mind the facilities they had provided and also the quality education we got. This is quite good compared to the other colleges in the region.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Being a Navy Brat I received PM Merit Scholarship every year. Students were also provided with fee reimbursement which helped them during the hard times.
Campus Life :
The gender ratio is quite good. As I am from CSE background so it was dominated by female's. Workshops were conducting almost every month or so and I was fortunate enough to participate in few of them. Many cultural activities were held all through the year. Annual day,
Hostel Facilities :
I was a day scholar, so I don't know much about the facilities provided in the hostel. Coming to the mess food, I would say it was tastier than the canteen food. The girls hostel is good comparatively to the boys one. Cuz most of my friends stayed in PG's rather than Boys hostel.
Alumni/Alumna :
Our college, infactin our branch has just started am alumni association through which we are able to get connected with all our seniors across the globe. They are helping us out by providing good placement opportunities.
Exam Structure :
The exam structure was good. I wouldn't say it was the best but it was good to a extent. But if someone flunks in any of the exams he/she had to attend supplies along with the semester exams which were scheduled at the same time. This would leave them helpless and was indeed hectic.
Faculty :
The faculty in our college are great. They very well know what a student actually required and helped us out during the hard times. Coming to my branch, I have handful favorite lecturers who motivated me to bring our the best out of me. This helped us out in rediscovering ourselves and knowing our potential.
