Remarks :

The College was under Shivaji University at that time and I had enrolled under the Electronics branch in the year 2012. But now the college has been Autonomous and the branch has been changed to electrical now. The college was one of the best institutes in the Kolhapur city and the students from various parts of Maharashtra has chosen this college because of this and also of the excellent and experienced faculty with job experience as well. The counseling was done in Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai by DTE (Director of Technical Education). The quota was for the J&K migrant students and the merit was prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the SSC. My merit number was around 358 and I have chosen the KIT's College and the stream as Electronics Engineering. My brother has helped me while selecting the above college as they were working in Mumbai.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had an interest in electricity so I had chosen the above course. The student to the professor ratio was 1:75 approximately. The professors were having an M.tech degree and some were having P.hd and the teachers were excellent in the teaching method and average for the remaining teachers. The exams were conducted under the university and it was a bit difficult for me to clear the exams in the first attempt itself.

Placement Experience :

After passing the 6th semester the placements starts on our campus. KPIT is one of the first which came in our college in the month of July-august with the package offered is 3-3.5 Lakhs. The highest package was 3.5 and the lowest package was 2.15 Lakhs. As in our class, around 25-30 students were placed and the batch strength was around 75. There are also other companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, etc which have come in my final year.

Fees and Financial Aid :

I have to pay the fees for the complete 1st year and it was roughly around Rs 30000 including the university fee and the exam fees. The cost to study including the books was less as there was a central library in our college and there was no need to buy any books from shops. There was a book bank option and two students in a class can opt for this and it was conducted each semester and it cost around Rs 300. I got placed in Amazon Development Center Pune with an initial package of 2.45 Lakhs.

Campus Life :

There was an annual fest in our college namely Yuvantaas and students of all the streams participated in that event. The event has by all the faculty and the principal and the other trustee of the college. Every year there used to be a Guest appearance at the event. There is a central library in our college where we used to complete the submission and almost every reference books were in the library. The class was very big fitted with projectors and at a time more than 100 students can sit in the classroom. The annual sports is also conducted in various sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, javlian throw, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

In the college hostel, there was the availability of 24 hrs water, electricity, and wireless connectivity. The hostel mess was average as I being the north Indian had left the mess after 2 months and there were options of 5-6 mess around our college so I frequently changed the mess.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Structure at SLRTCE is well structured and covering core electronics and computer science concepts, but it could include more industry oriented skills and emerging technology. It provides good foundation for real world applications and higher studies exams held twice per semester and updates to the curriculum and interactive teaching methods would further improve it's relevance and effectiveness.

Campus placement are good but you should be skilled in your domain. Opportunity are provided to everyone. If not placed off campus is also good to go. But extra effort you have to put in there to get placed.
