Remarks :
Teaching wise my department was very good. The college is working hard to be up mark with various good colleges in the city.Management just needs to bring the placements up to the mark and then this college does have the potential to make it to the top.
Entrance Preview :
Applied for maharashtra CET got 100/200. The score was less than what I expected and with this score LTCOE was the best college available among the options, since I wanted to do engineering in electronics and telecommunications only.
Internships Opportunities :
We do not have companies coming to our college for summer internships. Engineering colleges generally do have any kind of companies coming for summer internships. Students but do summer internships on their own.
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities are not up to the mark. Though some students(hardly 20% of the batch) get decent enough placements but maximum of them have to search off campus. The highest recruiters being syntel, L&T (pool campus) ans infosys.The package offered is between the range of 3-3.5 lakhs.
College Events :
Our major college fests are technical zephyr and cultural zephyr. We had sunburn in our college this year for out cultural fests. Also we have the BAJA team which stood among the top 50 for car racing competition. Various marathi film actors being the chief guests in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is on the upper side with out college fees being Rs.1 lakh a year. With 80% of it being tuition fees and the rest divided into for development,gymkhana,I cards,library cards etc.
Fees and Financial Aid :
No the college does not give any kind of scholarship. So I cannot comment on the same. Students do take student loan but to pay their fees.
Campus Life :
The college maintains a healthy gender ratio. There is no ragging/eve teasing or any kind of illegal activities. Our robotics and various cultural teams are up to mark and can compete with students from any top colleges. LTCOE has a minority quota for north side people(bhaiyaas as u call it).
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are good .. do it would be 8/10. But there is ko mess available. Also all the hostels have recently been built so the infrastructure is also pretty decent.
Alumni/Alumna :
We did not have any kind of interaction with the alumni. The seniors are very helpful when needed and are always ready to provide their assistance ship and guidance to the newer ones.
Exam Structure :
We have practicals,orals and theory. Practicals and orals are pretty hectic with our theory papers being stretched out for a month. This gives students ample time to revise. In all we have 8 semesters stretched out for a period of 4 years.
Faculty :
We had an excellent faculty in telecommunications in our college with maximum of them having an in depth knowledge of the subject. They are also very student friendly and co-operative and help us when asked to.
