It's a dream college to get. You will enjoy your 4 years and come out rich.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are around 42 different subjects for 4 years in cse. Also. the 6th semester is wholly dedicated for industrial experience. Companies come to our college to hire people for internship of upto 6 months. 4 months internship is compulsory here. also you can opt for research in this period. so it's kind of balanced.

Class Size : 125Course Fees : INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placement is quite good. Better than almost all NITs. For cse department average package goes upto 13 lakhs. Highest package is 56 lakhs and companies like Goldmann sach. amex, JP Morgan, Amazon, Microsoft etc comes for hiring for placement and internship too. I got an internship in AI in cerebry this year. It was a good company with a motive to develop an entirely AI based teaching platform.

College Events :

Perfest, is the biggest techno-cultural fest of North India. We have clubs for music, drama, dance, literature, women empowerment, social work and soft skill development. These clubs are very active. I m a part of music club and I have represented my college in different colleges. And many fests related to clubs and societies. chords, Interlude, Chitrahar, Agaz and many many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Around 65 thousand per semester for academic and 60 thousand per year for hostel. This is for normal students. Fir quota students there are several schemes and for there are also some schemes for economically weaker sections. for foreign students the fee is lil high but much affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid :

I have availed a scholarship called economic weaker section. If the family income is low then you can avial this scholarship. In this scholarship you don't have to pay for your academic. Only hostel and mess fee have to be given.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is low. as in the case with good engineering colleges. But diversity is quite rich. We have students from outside India and from every parts of India. Our college is very rich in extra curricular activities. We have clubs and societies for it. Clubs for social activities and technical societies for technical activities. We also have sports here.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, only students out side of Chandigarh are allowed to reside in hostel rooms. Local students are not allowed. Also you are not allowed to own any vehicle inside the campus if you are a hosteler. The rooms are okay and the food is very very delicious.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is quite good. College organise alumni meet every years. It's a good fest. I have seen so many old above 90 years old people dancing here.

Admission :

Clear jee mains exam, then get selected on the basis of rank. Cutoff for cse is around 10k all India rank for general category. For other categories it may vary upto 20k, also there is no obc quota here, only general category and SC st. and some quota like descendents of freedom fighter and Kashmir migrants makes it easier for some students to get in.

Faculty :

In one semester there will be around 45 lectures of 1 hr and 15 labs of 2 hrs of a subject. Teachers are well approachable during their leisure periods. They are highly qualified band some are highly experienced in their field of teaching. Do your assignments on time, you will be loved by teachers.

Chandigarh University Adventure

Placement Experience:

The placement procedure was very good according to me as they gave extra classes for the placements like soft skill classes and aptitude classes every week which helped me very much to express myself and prepare well for placement and talking about companies from 2nd year onwards companies started comming and everyone can seat in the exams but if you have back papers then they don't allow to seat in placement exams. I got placement in my 4th year in CTS.

From 7th semester u will sit in the placement cycle If I talk about this year then companies like Microsoft,Goldman Sachs ,chegg, Uber,, McKinsey etc visited Around 40-50 companies have visited till now. Students are eligible for placements in 6th semester but the final placements is in 7th and 8th semesters. CU has strong placements record, especially for computer Science Engineering(CSE) students. The HIGHEST package is 54.50 LPA (domestic) 2 crore (international) average package is 5-7 LPA for CSE gradutes.in my University boasts a placement rate of over 95% for CSE students, making it one of its strongest displines.
