College management needs to think about the standard of quality education. They need to work upon the same.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Oveeall college is good but not a great choice to enter in. Time to time, expert seminar is conducted for betterment in professional field. Different courses are provided with faculties from prestigious institutions of India. Research oriented support & programing is provided by the experts. College placements will bring you only in the off field.
Placement Experience :
Placements are done on periodic basis in last year. of course but not satisfactory. Mostly off-field jobs will be offered. Not suitable for Civil & mechanical branch aspirants.
College Events :
Lots of events are celebrated in the college through out the whole year. Xavier utsav(college fest), annual day, sports day, Independence day, republic day, christmas & many other cultural festival. There are departments who organised these programme through out the whole year & students are takes participate very aggressively.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It's an expensive aspect to get into this college in perspective of fee structure. For a middle class family guy, it's really not feasible as they've to take loan for fee payment & they are such an ambitious ones as they thought while taking addmission into this college.
Fees and Financial Aid :
I availed two scholarship- EWS Scholarship & Merit-cum means Scholarship. Every year. the university provides an excellent opportunity for poor financial background students to get their fee back. An Income certificate showing annual income of family less than 4. 5lac is required to avail the EWS Scholarship.
Campus Life :
Boys to girls; 10:4, cultural parties are celebrated by all the communities. Workshops facilities for engg. courses are available. There is no racism in terms of gender, sexual orientation, politics. College management is funded by Minister of Culture, India.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opt for hostels but hostels are good in every aspect. Food is of delicious quality, big playground is there. Annual fee for triple sharing is 72k +. Hostel guys will always be helping. Wifi facilities, RO water, Chilled Water. In winter, gyser water is provided.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are treated as elder brothers & they used to treat us like their younger ones. Ragging is prohibited as per University norms.
Admission :
Admission process is done through entrance exam.Many colleges do it through class 12 result basis. In this college it is done through entrance exam & then merit list according to the cut off basis. 60% result is necessary in all aggregate & the subject which you want to obtain as graduation subject.form fill up starts after declaration of result of class 12 board exams & entrance exams is conducted in the month june. Students can apply online. Cost of form approx Rs.500. Admit will be provided before few days of exam. Exam venue is St.Xavier's college Ranchi. Exam time is early morning near about 7:30am. Subjects of entrance exam are general maths, English, GK & current affairs, economics. There are approx 15, 000-17, 000 candidates apply for entrance exam every year for B.Com.Results will be declared with in a week. Merit list is done with basis of marks.Reservation is also available for OBC, SC, ST category students. After the declaration of result applicant can check it online their ranks.Every year there are near about 1000 seats are available for B.Com(hons.). At the end of june admission procedure is started. Eligible students are informed to apply for admission.During the admission all authentic documents should be submitted.After this fees of 1st year is also required to deposits.In the 1st week of july orientation programme is done & the classes begins.
Faculty :
Faculties are mainly from prestigious universities and institutions of India. Knowledgeable faculties are there in this College but Industrial exposure is less which is vital part of any engg. institute. It might take some years. for this Institution to emerge as participant in the career aspects of students.
