Course Curriculum Overview :
Gauhati Commerce College offers one of the most relevant course in entire Guwahati. Not the top class education but worth it. College is fun as compared to other colleges nearby. No pressure, balanced task and homeworks. Exams were divided into 4 parts but not as frequent.
Placement Experience :
College internship basically starts from the start of the last year in college. Faculty members will guide and mentor you till the end of the internship. Placement in the are not top notch. One have to work really hard to get placed because the placement rate is too low.
College Events :
Gauhati Commerce College celebrates each and every festivals listed on an Indian Calendar. Upcoming programes are dispaly on billboard near the main gate. Participating is one of the easiest process. Student just have to write their names and submit it to the class monitor.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
I studied(BBA). It's is a 3 years course. Fee Structure was - Rs 18470 for earch semesters(every six month). If a student comes form a below proverty line family they get admission in college free of cost. Students don't have to pay a single rupee.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Various catagory of Scholarship available. Minority community for Christian and Muslims, BC MBC SC ST Various grades of Scholarship. As per the income if the family they will apply for same. Education loan also available.
Campus Life :
Gender Ratio is quite balanced as compared to other college because studying businesses is quite interesting for both the genders. Diversity -100%(because it's India xD). No complaints. Each friend circle consist of people from different religions and caste. Its not problem especially in Assam.
Hostel Facilities :
There is no other options like opt-out hostel because you have to live in hostel it is MBA college there will be no day's scholar but hostel facilities is really good one room for one person with common bathroom and room consists of a cot a table chair internet connection and cupboard
Alumni/Alumna :
Due to the ban of ragging in the college campus and hostel the interection between the junior and senior is good. The close relation between the junior and the senior helps both in one way or another. So, at the end your friend circle is not only limited to the juniors or only yours classmates.
Admission :
I have studied BBA. My aim was to step into the world of business because I had little to no knowledge at the subject. I took the course so that I get introduced to the world of business which will help me later down the road.
Faculty :
Faculty for marketing, finance, operations and hr. Are really awesome with great knowledge and background they teaches with practical applications with real life examples and hardwd case's so the connection with real life and theoretical can be understanding
