Remarks :
It's great life over there. Friends matter the most, I guess. If you have great company, any college would be good. Management was good at Amity. Security is good. Food is good. No complaints as such.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course was divided in 8 semesters, each having various subjects some related to the course and some definately not( for example - Law, History etc etc) but that's just for 1st year. Then there are projects and assignments on daily or weekly basis depending on faculty.
Placement Experience :
Placements was quite good for the 2017 batch but it was not up to the mark for the 2018 batch. Many companies come from a start up to an MNC. There have been times when Microsoft and Flipkart aslo come for recruitment but I never heard of anyone getting hired by them.
College Events :
There are number of clubs for dance, music, art, drama, modelling. Amitians keep on doing such stuff. Then we used to have our annual event - AYF - Amity Youth Fest which was quite popular. Also there's another major fest that used to happen every year - InbushEra. I have had a lot of fun in such events there.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees at my time was - 1.28 lakhs per semester for first year and then increasing of 5 % every year which made it 1.49 Lakhs per semester for the last year. It would be a lot more than than for the same course. Payments accepted were thourough DD, Cheques, Paytm, Cards and I think cash as well.
Fees and Financial Aid :
I got the scholarship for the first year based on the marks that I scored in class 12th Board Exams. Amity gives scholarship of 50% if one has 88% + marks in main 4 subjects and a 100% scholarship for the students with 93% + marks in main 4 subjects.
Campus Life :
Campus life is awesome at Amity. We have 2 CCDs in the campus, out of which one was in Library. The campus is fully AC, full of red walls and memories made with friends. There were Domino's, subway, dosa plaza and many more restaurants inside the campus itself. There was also a big stationery and book store.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opt for hostel but I have heard from friends that rooms were not that big. Cleaning was done on daily basis. Security is very high, especially for girls hostel. Proper permissions are required for students from their parents to go out the campus.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, students are nice there. Crowd is great. Seniors are helpful. My seniors were great, always kept us busy in some or the other club to make us learn more and more.
Admission :
Admissions are mainly open in the month of May after the Board Exams Result declaration. To get admission, one has to go thourough interview which are super easy or else you can get direct admission if you have 88% + in 12th Boards. I had 92.8% in 12th, so got directly thourough it and also got 50% scholarship for the first year of the course.
Faculty :
Each subject had different credit unit and for a subject with 1 credit - total 15 lectures are there. Faculty is nice, some witn experience of 4-5 years and some with 10-12 years. I didn't find any faculty with an experience of more than that. But major of the faculty have PhD done or in process.
