Remarks :
As far as the positive points are concerned the campus life, the activities, the opportunities, the people the nearby beaches are all amazing and it's also located close to many tourist destinations and the only negative is the expensive tuition fee.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is similar to that taught in any of the engineering colleges with a few minor tweaks here and there. Apart from that the timetable was pretty balanced with a few half days amongst the full days leaving the student with enough time to focus on themselves. Labs are regular i. e weekly.
Placement Experience :
Almost a hundred and fifty companies come for placement. Namely Microsoft, Samsung, Goldman Sachs among many others. The packages offered by them varies but they're good nonetheless. If the student is in a computer related field then they won't face any sort of problems in getting placed even if they're average. The other branches though need to work on their resume and learn a bit about coding.
College Events :
There are various events going on all year round. But the 2 biggest events are Techtatva i. e the technical fest and Revels i. e the cultural fest. Many students from various other colleges come to participate in it and anyone with any interest no matter how uncommon it is, will find something interesting.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee is expensive. Per year the average expense would fall around 4. 5-5 lakh. So the total expenses for the entire duration in college would go above 20 lakh. But if you're in a computer stream then it's worth it.
Fees and Financial Aid :
There are 2 types of scholarships offered by the college as far as I know. One of them is for excellent students who get a rank of less than 1000 and the other one is for people who don't come from a well off family. To claim the later, your family income needs to be lower than a certain amount.
Campus Life :
The gender ratio is better than most of the engineering colleges in the country. The place is also party and student friendly and students won't have to face as much resistance from locals as they do else where. Student from all walks of life come here to study and you'd find quite a diverse culture in and around the campus.
Hostel Facilities :
They have different kinds of hostel and depending on the money you are ready to pay, you'll get a lot of different facilities such as air conditioner, attached washroom, private room, sharing room etc.
Alumni/Alumna :
I've had limited interaction with the alumnis but from whatever little experience I've had, they're quite helpful. The network is quite vast and you'll find them pursing various professions. And the brand of MIT, Manipal is still strong outside of Manipal.
Admission :
You've to appear for their online test i. e MU-OET. It consists of questions from subjects like English, math, physics, chemistry of mostly 11th and 12th class. I had a few options apart from this college but the lifestyle you get in this college is unparalleled as far as private colleges are concerned.
Faculty :
The faculty is as good as they are in any other private colleges. They were qualified enough to teach the subjects that they were assigned. But apart from faculty the student has to work on his resume to become employable.
