Remarks :
There are actually mixed remarks about the college. In some fields it is very good and in some fields it lags behind. Like the infrastructure is excellent and in some subjects teaching is just average.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Curriculum is upto date with the latest industrial requirements. Exam structure is also very good n steady. Exams are taken in a well structured manner and a student who studies even before 2 days before the exam can pass esily.
Placement Experience :
The college claims to have a 100% placement record, but it is not true to some extent. Almost all the companies recruiting are software companies. Core companies are very less in number and core placements is also very less.
College Events :
There are a hell lot of events celebrated in our college. To be very precise almost every festival of India is also celebrated here, from chatt puja to Ganesh puja or Eid, everything is celebrated with utmost joy. College events are numerous in numbers. Some of the famous are - KIITFEST, KIIT MUN, KRITARTH, MOOT COURT, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
This is the most important thing that comes to mind when we talk about a university. The fee structure of KIIT University is a bit expensive. As I am pursuing B.Tech so I can tell about the fees of Btech only, which is 1.5 lakhs per semester excluding Hostel fees.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Scholarships are provided to first 100 or 1000 rankers of KIITEE exam. I personally did not avail the loan facility but college provides loan facility to the students who want the loan facility. Students can avail the student loan.
Campus Life :
There are a lot of extracurricular activities to do. There are a lot of clubs/societies that you can join for this. From cooking to robotics, there are various societies. The sports facilities are excellent. You can join many sports and trainer is also available for it. The labs here are also well equipped with sufficient machines/equipments to work on.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel infrastructure is above average in old ones but it's quite good in the new hostels. Every type of hostel is available: 1.Non Ac (3 bedded) 2.AC (3 bedded) 3.AC (2 bedded with attached bathroom) Hostel food is quite good also.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is not very good. The college lacks in this field. The communication between senior and junior is also not that much effective although the some seniors are very helpful in many fields and provide good guidance.
Admission :
I got into KIIT UNIVERSITY through an entrance exam named 'KIITEE'. The admission process is very smooth. The admission process is conducted rankwise. You have to submit an amount of Rs.75000 at the time of admission which includes Laptop, Blazer and books.
Faculty :
Faculty are very knowledgeable and can teach in a very effective manner, except for few faculties. Teaching method is old school but some faculties also make use of the projector to teach which is effective in some subjects.
