Remarks :

There are various clubs such as Coding Club,Robotics Club,Literary Club,Photography Clubetc. The worst thing about this college is it has been functioning from temporary campus.The opportunities and facilities are limited for the students because of this. Students have to face hardships staying in hostels aways from college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course is good and almost same as other NIT's and IIT's. The syllabus is helpful for GATE and NET exams. In case of theory subjects, The course exam pattern is divided as mid term and endterm. Two class tests and two assignments are required per semester. For practical subjects, there is regular evaluation and practical exam is held at the end of semester.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is good in the institute.They encourage for internships during summer and winter vacation.Some of the major companies where students have been placed are Microsoft,MathWorks,Volkswagen,GAP,Infosys,Powergrid,etc.

College Events :

There are two college fests: Technical fest,Cognitia and Cultural fest,Shishir. Cognitia is held in odd semester in the month of October-November. Shishir is held in even semester in the month of April. Of course being an NIT,it organizea various events such as Unity Day, Innovation Day, Women's Day,Rastrabhasha Diwas etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is very expensive concerning the infrastructures and facilities provided to the students. The cost is high for accomodation as well as mess facility. Facilities such as Wifi,water and electricity also cost more.

Fees and Financial Aid :

For economically poor students,there are relaxation in fees in the form of fee remittance. Top 5 students of each batch is provided merit scholarship. ST/SC students dont have to pay th institute tuition fees.

Campus Life :

There are various competitions held in the institute. Sports competitions such as football,cricket ,basketball,tabletennis and badminton are organized.Recently,NIT Meghalaya secured 2nd place in Inter NIT Football Competition. Literature and Cultural activities like speech,debate ,quiz,essay writing etc. are also organized.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel infrastructures are good.But being a temporary campus hostels are at long distance from college.Sports and gym facilties are not provided in every hostels. Transportation is arranged by institute between college and hostel.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

The seniors are quite helpful.The alumnis briefs us about the future opportunites and also guides us about the procedures for securing good placements in top companies.The seniors in different clubs helps us improve in regarding fields

Admission :

We have to appear for JEE Mains exam,which are being held twice a year now. Jee mains exam is held in the month of january and april. I got 137 marks out of 360 in JEE Mains. I appeared for counselling round through JOSAA.But i was not alloted any college according to my choice. Then i appeared for special round counselling through CSAB and was alloted NIT Meghalaya in Special Round 1.

Faculty :

Faculty are of good quality.but at the same time as this NIT is in a temporary campus,so number of faculty is too less. Some are helpful towards students and motivates them for research and projects.

Good Environment Good culture Good future

Placement Experience:

The campus of the university is overall average. We get packages around 10 LPA but mostly students opt for heigher studies as only 10 -20 percent of students successfully get placed My plans are for masters in technology after the degree . I have appeared for gate and qualified ans i would like to sit for councilling if i get in any good nit or iit

Remarks:

The college is located in main city place in Shillong Meghalaya. The college has decent infrastructure with good facility and machines. But has less no. Of faculties with not so good faculties in some subjects. Overall a great college better then any local college with proper opportunities.

Remarks:

No permanent campus and no ground for playing for students also all the events will be conducted by the college even though in a small manner sometimes there will be very late reply when we send any message to academics

My college experience

Remarks:

The campus being temporary at present, is in a much happier place surrounded by all kinds of restaurants, food corners, necessary shops, good hospitals, banks etc. The negative may be the lack of space in most classrooms, however that turns good as the faculties focus better on each & *** CGPA turns out better***

Remarks:

Overall it is okay. But since there is no permanent campus, it is very hard for us to reach College on time everyday. We have to get up early in the morning to wait for the bus and all. Also, tehre is a limited resources. Our library is too small and labs are also not sufficient.

EAMCET this college has very good infrastructure near to my home town well experienced faculty friendly nature faculty, stuendts come from many states in india, located at outskirts of Hyedrabad free pollution we travel by college bus.

Placement Experience:

In our college there are very few students got selected in MNC's from computer science engineering background and electromcins commu nnication enginering background with salry packages of 4 lakhs per annum.
