Remarks :
The college is yet under development and the only negative thing is that we as students do not enjoy the college life very much because our campus is still under construction and we have to live in civilian population. Apart from this our college always keeps the idea of hard work ahead of anything and this is reflected in the fact that it has established a positive impact in the society even when it is completely new and evolving.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Currently IIIT Kalyani has only CSE Curricula to offer but soon it plans to add Electronics and communication engineering to the curriculum. The course is well structured and suits the current demand in Software Engineering sector.
Placement Experience :
Yes, the college has a training and placement cell which co-ordinates placement offers from various reputed companies in the market. Our seniors have been placed in various companies with handsome packages. This year Adobe visited our college with an initial CTC of 17 lakhs.
College Events :
Our college has recently setup its Gymkhana which is responsible to organising various student related activities in the college. Our college has Udaan-the literary club, Symphony-the music and dance club and Fosc for technical activities. Our college recently hosted an event for hactoberfest which was highly appreciated.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Although the fee structure of our college is comparable to that of any other private college, but in terms of the facilities available to the students the fees seems reasonable. We get access to the computer lab any time we want and so with the library.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The academic office staff at IIIT Kalyani are very helpful when it comes to availing scholarship and student loan. The office of assistant registrar regularly informs the students about various scholarships by center or by different states. The college also has a merit cum means scholarship for meritorious students.
Campus Life :
The college and Kalyani stadium have agreed to allow the students access to the sports complex in Kalyani. The stadium has facilities for swimming, cricket, football, badminton, table tennis and gym. The labs of our college are also well equipped.
Hostel Facilities :
Since the college now doesn't have a permanent campus, it has rented an appartment for hostel. The hostel rooms are spacious and comfortable for a student. We get water 24x7 with security and furniture including mattress. The hostel toilet and rooms are daily cleaned. Also the mess maintains better food quality for the future engineers.
Alumni/Alumna :
Since Our college is yet new enough we don't have a rich alumni network. Our seniors are very helpful in almost every student activities. They help us on almost every academic courses and provide source and suggestions to improve our knowledge base. They guide us for various hackathons and internship programs.
Admission :
In class 12th after appearing in jee mains I got admitted through Josaa and Csab counseling after which I was offered admission in IIIT Kalyani CSE. Although there were many choices of IIITs I opted for cse at this college as it was new and offered magical possibilities all along the promised journey.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is yet another attraction. The professors are highly qualified and the laboratories are also well equipped. There are skilled technicians and a Library which has all books needed for reference.
