My College Review

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is Good, It is a continuous evaluation pattern in which you eill have to attend two periodical exam like the cycle test in schools and the end semester in the mean while you will write minimum of two class test in each subject and also three assignments will be provided which should be solved and submitted for evaluation, periodical exams carry 15% weightage each, assignment and class test carry 20%, End semester carry 50% weightage. The grading for each subject is based on relative marks.

Placement Experience :

As far as placements are concerned it is really good a whole lot of companies vist our campus starting from the 4th year of the course. The college does not provide any internship on it's own but you can ask the CIR(corporate industrial relationship) Department for any availabilities

College Events :

There are not much events in this campus the main disadvantage is the location of the campus as it is in Kerala, we can't expect much fan fare. The events here are vidyut, onam celebration. Practically they don't conduct any events if you are fond of the events avoid this college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Expensive, it is more than 3 lakhs per year including the mess and hostel fees but it's not worth it, the food provided is poor taste and students get frustrated because of bad food so I would kindly say that please avoid this campus for studies join either Coimbatore/Bengaluru/Chennai campus.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Yes scholarship is provided to top 500 rank holders in AEEE, loan facility is provided by Dhanalakshmi bank which has an official tie-up with University, the loan is easily processed at a loe interest rate.

Campus Life :

The lab infrastructure is good and lab staff are really helpful and they are highly knowledgeable, skillful people. Regarding sports there is not much facilities available here the ground itself is in a pathetic condition, the sports facilities are in bad shape

Alumni/Alumna :

I don't have much information or contact with Alumni Students but the seniors are really helpful and guide us whenever possible. You can ask their help or advice whenever needed, they also encourage us in joining project works.

Admission :

First, we have to attend the Amrita Engineering entrance exam (AEEE) which is generally conducted in the month of April and registration for the same starts in January.Once you get the results i,e the exam rank. You will he notified regarding thr counseling date via broucher/mail/ph number based on your rank. The counseling can be attended in any one of their Engineering college campus Coimbatore/Chennai/Bengaluru/Amritapuri. Based on the availability of seats for the refered branch at counseling when your Rank is called your seat will be confirmed. Most importantly there are two variety of seats home state/other state, around 50% of seats are reserved for home state students. Home state varies according to the state in which the campus located after confirming the seat in campus during counselling you eill receive a call letter in post within the next 1 week in which all the details regarding fee payment, date of commencement of college will be clearly mentioned.

Faculty :

The facilities are good, there are a few excellent facilities especially the PhD completed faculties, at the same time there are a bunch poor teaching faculties. The minimum qualification for a teacher is Mtech degree.

Students are eligible for placement from semester 6. Many of the largest companies such as Cisco, IBM, Wipro etc come for placements. The largest package was 40 LPA from IT department and average package is 6 LPA. Last year's batch had placement percentage of 90%. My future plans are to try my best for placements, no plans for suture studies as of now.

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students. The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

Placement Experience:

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum. Usually, 10-15 students get placed in the first session, and the rest will be considered in the other upcoming sessions. I'm planning to do ethical hacking course after the degree
