Which should I prefer, IIIT Kalyani, IIIT Naya Raipur, IIIT Bhopal, or IIIT Surat for CSE?

Which is better, IIIT Kalyani or IIIT Bhopal?
Recently one of my cousins graduated from IIIT Bhopal. If you want to examine the above two options then surely I would say IIIT Bhopal is better because of certain problems IIIT Kalyani encountered in the past few months.
Even after, the major problems which IIIT Bhopal was meeting were Clubs and hostel issues. About two to three clubs of IIIT Bhopal have started playing into the role on their own and in the coming year. You can even expect more, although few clubs of MANIT also have IIIT Bhopal students.

As I already mentioned before the distance of the Hostel is an issue with the administration which is supposed to be settled in the coming future. Apparently, the classes for the students of IIIT Bhopal are occurring in NTB-MANIT. The lab facilities for IIIT students have been made available.
Which is better SGSITS IT or IIIT Bhopal CSE?
Are you more inclined towards IT or CSE? Having a clear view on what’s your page of interest definitely makes the process easier. However, there are some key points you might need to consider before making any choice:
- IIIT Bhopal is a newly established institute, so things will take time to function properly. In the current scenario, you will be attending classes at their temporary campus in RGVP with most of the faculty members from MANIT.
- On the other hand, SGSITS is an old and prestigious institute and it’s one of the topmost colleges in Madhya Pradesh with an all-India ranking of 30.
- Because IIIT Bhopal is functioning at RGVP, it lacks basic infrastructure and hostel facilities which might be a big problem for you at times.
- On the contrary, SGSITS has a history of 65 years and avails all the amenities to the UG & PG students.
Hope this short comparison of major factors has helped you get a gist of what to expect once you get there. If you think you can succeed on the basis of your skills and hard work, you can go thrive anywhere. However, if facilities and comfort matter a lot for you then blindly go for SGSITS.
Can I choose IIIT Bhopal instead of IIIT Vadodara as it is running in NIT Bhopal?
It may seem that IIIT Bhopal is a better option since it is being operated by MANIT Bhopal. But, try to rethink the scenario. Although IIIT Bhopal is operating from the NIT Bhopal campus, students of IIIT Bhopal do not enjoy the same privilege as the NIT students. IIIT Bhopal has different hostels, classrooms, teachers.
Additionally, IIIT Vadodara has many advantages over IIIT Bhopal.
Placements:
IIIT Vadodara was established way earlier than IIIT Bhopal. IIIT Vadodara already had 3 placement seasons. In the three placement seasons, IIIT Vadodara had witnessed a perpetual increment in the average package, alongside the continual expansion of the placement percentage as well.
Coding Culture:
Besides, the coding culture at IIIT Vadodara is quite good too. So, you will have major scopes for coding if you are a student there. However, the closing ranks of both the institutes somewhat do not vary a lot. But IIIT Vadodara will definitely be a better alternative. Location is the only demerit for the institute.
A friend of mine was in the same pickle as you, a few years back. He ultimately chose IIIT Vadodara after consulting with students from both institutes. You can do the same to have a better understanding of the real scenario at the institutes.
How is the social life of students of IIIT Kottayam and IIIT Bhopal, and where do they chill out during weekends?
My friend is currently studying at IIIT Bhopal and they usually get loads of assignments and projects which keep them really busy. All the IIITs are quite known for their hectic routine and getting 8 hours of sleep daily also becomes a chilling session at times.
Although you may not experience a super-happening college life which is often shown in movies. But you can still find good friends and enjoy the peaceful environment there at the campus.
However, my friend has listed some weekend chilling options you might want to know:
- You can head to DB City Mall, New Market for shopping.
- The advantage of being at IIIT Bhopal is you also get exposure to places like Lalghati, Jain Mandir, and Karond.
- Also, they now have a Training and Placement cell of MANIT where you can chill more often.
At the end of the day, engineering is never easy and always has a packed schedule. It all depends on how you manage to keep studies and enjoyment balanced without compromising in either of them.

Should anyone go for IIIT, Bhopal (opened this year) IT or opt for CSE from JSS, Noida?
This kind of confusion arises among other students. My brother was also one of them and most of his seniors recommended IIIT because it is a premier national institute. No matter this is a new institute but soon this institute will take its place.
The other reason is that IIIT Bhopal’s mentor institute is MANIT Bhopal where the professors are from NIT. But if you are getting a fee waiver in JSS College then you should go for JSS.
Most importantly, JSS is a private institution and IIIT is a government college so you will benefit in terms of fees.
Which is better IIIT Bhopal or DAVV for CSE?
IIIT Bhopal is better for CSE. It is recognized on a national level. A B.Tech degree from the institute will have better recognition in the industry. It has a brilliant faculty base. IIIT Bhopal is mentored by MANIT. Faculties from MANIT visit the campus for guest lectures.
The institute has a good placement record. IIIT Bhopal placements 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 14.03 LPA. Around 90% of students got placed this year through campus placements.
Is PG available near IIIT Bhopal?
Yes, PGs and hostels are available near IIIT Bhopal. There are several hostels near the college, but they are not of adequate quality that would satisfy the students and their parents as well. A lot of students opt for private hostels and the problem with them is that they are very congested for them to stay. There is not enough space for people to adjust and that becomes a serious problem.
Therefore, it is highly advisable to opt for a PG. Apart from this, if one has to look for good and adequate hostels, they can look in MP Nagar which is 5 km. away from MANIT. The students can find good quality hostels there which will be suitable for their needs.
What should I choose between IIIT Bhopal, HBTU Kanpur, or IET Lucknow all in the CSE branch?
Having friends in these institutions, I am well aware that HBTU Kanpur is much better than IIIT Bhopal and IET Lucknow. Though one thing has been seen that the performance of the CSE department is generally the same in all the colleges. They all provide enough industry exposure to the students.

It is advised to join HBTU Kanpur or IET Lucknow than IIIT Bhopal, as the former are an older establishment than the latter which is comparatively new. Classes at IIIT Bhopal are scheduled according to MANIT Bhopal. Also the students are provided RGPV hostels. So it will be better if you go for HBTU.
