Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar has released an application for admission into its PhD program in multiple specializations including Economics & Public Policy, Finance, Accounting & Control, IT & Computational Systems, etc for the academic year 2025. Candidates interested can browse @iimamritsar.ac.in/ and fill up the application form. Deadline for the same is February 28.

IIMAmritsar PhD Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process

Candidate must be eligible to apply as per the below-mentioned criteria:

• In any field, a master's degree, postgraduate diploma, or its equivalent with a first-class B.Tech. or four-year degree with a 6.5 CGPA or above
• A graduate degree in the relevant field and a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade point average are required for any professional qualification, such as CA, ICWA, CS, or CFA-Level-II (USA).

In order to be admitted into the program, candidates who meet the aforementioned eligibility requirements must take the Common Admission Test. As an alternative, those who have passed the GATE, GMAT, GRE, or JRF (UGC/CSIR) exams in their respective fields of expertise may also apply. The admissions process will accept scores from these tests, including the CAT, that were taken within the previous two years.

For the final selection in March/April 2025, the applicants who made the short list based on their academic record, performance in the aforementioned competitive exams, and research interests will be invited for a personal interview that includes the Research Aptitude Test and Written Analysis Test. By the end of May 2025, admission offers will be sent to the selected applicants.
