Life at University of Auckland

Likes:
Education which was received is very useful in real life and opens up a lot of career paths for you.,
The content we had wasn't something you can simply find online.,
Most of the courses we got had a lot of interesting content that you would actually enjoy working with rather than considering it as a pressure.

Dislikes:
Some courses' marking schemes and weightage could be better. One course of mine had very unfair grading where the exam was 60% and the coursework was 40%. Typically in all other courses it was the other way around.,
Student clubs were rare and irrelevant. It was also quite hard to form groups as the community was not sociable at least in my experience.,
Sports opportunities were also quite less than what I desired.

Average Fees : NZD 72,000/ Year

Course Curriculum:

Our course syllabus is highly knowledgeable. It is education that you cannot find online. We had choices among several courses and streams to fine tune our preferences and career paths. We had regular exposure to industry by hosting regular seminars. The last semester requirement of our course was an industry internship which consisted of real industry work with companies in New Zealand.

Fees:

NZD $24,000 per semester. Depending on what points course you are doing. In my case I did a 180 point course which consisted of 3 semesters. Thus my total tuition fee was $72,000
