Students will be introduced to science and engineering disciplines students will not have covered in their undergraduate studies.
Students will have access to some of Ireland’s leading researchers in this area.
A major objective of the course is to introduce students to an interdisciplinary approach to Biomedical Science, which utilizes technologies and skills from a wide spectrum of scientific, engineering, and clinical disciplines.
Students have the opportunity to apply for 9-12 month industry placements, which if a placement is secured, replaces the research dissertation.
The MSc in Biomedical Science program’s primary objective is to provide students with the underpinning knowledge and practical skills to pursue a successful career in biomedical science.
The MSc program consists of 90 credits.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a first-class or second-class honors-level 8 BSc degree in biological or biomedical sciences, physical sciences, or engineering field or equivalent from a recognized institution.
A GPA of at least 3.6/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
Applicants with a Level 7 degree and who can demonstrate that they have at least 2-3 years relevant experience in research or the Medical Technology, Healthcare, or Biotechnology industry.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
