- The course begins in the winter semester and there are no admission restrictions. For optimal preparation, participation in the preparatory math course is recommended. The teaching content of the bachelor's degree is based on the subject classification of physics.
- These include mechanics, electro- and thermodynamics, atomic and molecular physics, nuclear and elementary particle physics, laboratory astrophysics and quantum mechanics.
- At the same time, students acquire mathematical skills that are indispensable for dealing with physics. As good knowledge of English as possible will facilitate the handling of specialist literature. The majority of bachelors then take up a master's degree. The job prospects in industry, economy and research are attractive and overall not very sensitive to the economic cycle.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
For this course, students need one of the following degrees or certificates:
- General University Entrance Qualification
- Professional qualification (studying without a high school diploma)
- TestDaf: Level 4 in all sub-exams
- Goethe certificate: level C2 in all module parts
- Telc German: C1 university
- German language diploma of the Conference of Ministers of Education: DSD II with continuous level C1 in all areas
- German language test for university admission (DSH) at a registered university: The DSH is divided into three stages. The DSH-2 is required to start studying. There is an exception for the artistic courses (visual arts, visual communication, and product design). Only DSH-1 is required for this: Proof of language proficiency for admission to study at the art college.
