The master's program in Sustainability Geography imparts practical skills in order to be able to meet the challenges of global change in a professional context. Courses from the areas of ecology, economy and social issues are offered and a deeper understanding of sustainability is imparted. In the third semester, students are given the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a case study and to orientate themselves professionally.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
A first professionally qualifying university degree in a subject-related degree course is necessary, which was at least completed with an overall grade of "satisfactory" (3.0) or a comparable grade.
Prior to commencing studies, students will be required to provide proof of German language proficiency. The following certificates are recognized by the University of Greifswald for applications to a full degree course:
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber’ (DSH) at least level 2*
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz’ (level 2)
- the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 from the Goethe Institute
- the ‘Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache’ (Test DaF), at least level 4 in all partial examinations*
- the certificate ‘telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule’
- a completed degree in German Studies, an assessment test with German as an examination subject.
