Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.E. Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre University or XII standard or equivalent examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics and shall have secured not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects, with English as one of the languages.
Minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be 40% of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes

Entrance Exam:

CET or COMEDK entrance exam score is needed for seats coming under government or minority quota

Green campus: The campus is filled with greenery which soothens the mind and provides a peaceful environment to study and engage.
Sophisticated library: there is a huge central library which contains vast books regarding all the subjects.

Dislikes

Canteen Food has to be improved a lot, food is not worth for the price they charge.
People can't go out of the college after 7pm, there should have been extension of this particular time.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure goes like this: KCET Quota: 1.15 lakh Management: 1.8 to 3.75 lakh There is a special quota called KRLMPCA AICTE Skill lab fee: 15k Placement Fee: 5k There are several scholarships given as well SSP scholarship by government of Karnataka gives 23k per annum

First of all, I love the campus. SJEC has the most beautiful campus in the region.
The campus is a ragging-free campus. Any act of ragging will be taken seriously.

Dislikes

I felt the rules of the college to be a little more strict and rigid.
Lack of practical applications and startups.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tuition fee remains the same as agreed upon while joining the college. Although there might be small hikes and dips in the tuition due to improvement in teaching technology. And there is an exam fees of Rs. 2000 to be paid before each sem exam. Since I got a seat in the college through KCET entrance exam, the tution fees that I have to pay is Rs. 90000. And there is a fee of Rs. 15000 for the idea lab. Also Rs.4000 per year to be paid as exam fees. Hence the total fees for me will come upto Rs. 109000. But if admission is through management quota, the annual fees will range between 3 to 4 lakhs. There is a scholarship offered by the state government annualy to the deserving students. Also there's a minority scholarship for the minority students. I have taken an internship at Glowtouch Technologies Pvt LTD as a web development intern. There was no stipend as such. Our placement season is yet to start.

The campus is situated in a very quite place away from the city
Teachers are well qualified and good student to teacher ratio is maintained

Fees and Financial Aid:

There is no tution fee increase policy the prices of tution or hostel fees remains same throughout 4 academic years . For me as I had opted for this course through management my yearly tution fees was 350000 which has now increased a lot ,I have also opted for hostel it costed me around 75000 per year so my total fees comes around 430000.

The campus is very beautiful. It is surrounded with a lot of greenery accros which provides a lot of cool air ands freshness. It is always a bliss to enter the campus
All the teaching and non-teaching staff are very polite and welcoming. We can always rely on them for clearing our doubts and issues.

Dislikes

The placements are not very great. The companies that come to recruit are not very good companies
College doesn't focus much on extra curriculars. There are very less events compared to other colleges in the city.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Since the college has become autonomous and is no more under VTU, the fees has increased. However the college keeps informing us whenever there are scholarships available for the students. They do inform us to apply for any new scholarships that have come. There is also admissions for the minority students that reduces th fees to help them afford the education they need.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good overall Faculty are the best they give their 100 percent CBCS new scheme was introduced by the VTU university which was quite lame syllabus Where we have to learn A-Z from mechanical to civil and decide on which field to go for in 2nd year no matter if we are interested or notPersonally for me it was waste of one year As I was totally interested in IT and I was made to learn everything And that too after 2nd year started we have to learn everything from IT from analog digital lab to cloud to computer networks But nothing you could learn in depth but everything little and for sure it's not in depth knowledge

There are lots of scholarship for the students who need. Most of scholarship are for backwards and obc categories. My college used to offer reduction to Christan students and some good rank holders. Loan facility I don't think so.
