  • The University of Alberta offers a Master of Science in Computing Science for a duration of 2 years (4 terms).

  • Students must have a 4-year UG or equivalent degree from a recognized institution with adequate background in computing science and mathematics. 
  • Students have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B Grade) out of 4.0 which is equal to 7.0/10 to 7.4/10 CGPA or 70%, GPA considered for admission will be based on either the most recent 60 units of graded coursework completed or the equivalent of the last two years of full-time graded coursework. 
  • Exceptionally qualified applicants having the equivalent of a First-Class Honors BSc degree may be admitted directly to the Ph.D. program.

  • GRE is optional but highly recommended for International Students. 
  • GRE is also recommended for students with backgrounds unrelated to Computing Science.
