  • Bachelor of Technology in Software Engineering Technology Co-op is offered by the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University, Canada.   • While support and guidance is available through the Engineering Co-op and Career Services to assist students with searching for jobs, resume writing and interviewing skills, it is ultimately the responsibility of the student to satisfy the co-op program requirement.
  • Students who have completed college work terms or who have work experience in a related field can be assessed for a waiver for the co-op requirement.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students should meet  the following requirements to apply for the program:

  • Students must hold an advanced technology diploma (3 years) or equivalent in a related technical field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 75% in one of the following fields:
    • Computer Systems Technology (Software or Networking) 
    • Computer Engineering Technology 
    • Computer Programmer/Analyst
    • Electrical Engineering Technology
    • Electronics Engineering Technology
  • Students with educational backgrounds equivalent to those completing advanced-level college diplomas, including internationally educated applicants, will be considered on an individual basis.

Indian Student Eligibility

  • Students must have 5 subjects of Class XII  including all mandatory prerequisites for the selected program.
  • The student's average is calculated on Grade XII Predicted grades.
  • Students are eligible to apply if they have the following documents: Class X board results, Class XI transcript, and Class XII predicted grades.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
