Diploma of Health Sciences (Stage 1) – Program Overview
The Diploma of Health Sciences (Stage 1) at Curtin College is an 8-month foundation program designed for students aiming to progress into Stage 2 and then into a health sciences degree at Curtin University. Admission requires completion of Year 11 (or international equivalent) with at least 50–75%, depending on the major. An overall IELTS score of 6.0 (with no band below 6.0) or equivalent is required. No work experience or interview is needed. Students automatically qualify for scholarships like the High Achiever Scholarship and Academic Bursary, each offering a 12.5% tuition discount. The program concludes upon successful completion of eight academic units.
Diploma of Health Sciences (Stage 1) – Fees
The tuition fee for 2025 is A$28,900, plus a one-time enrolment fee of A$225. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is mandatory and costs approximately A$642 annually. Accommodation is arranged through Curtin University, with off-campus housing estimated between A$215 and A$570 per week.
Diploma of Health Sciences (Stage 1) – Important Dates
